Our Cleaning Routine
A clean environment is a healthy environment. Our classrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are cleaned daily, with high-contact surfaces disinfected multiple times throughout the day. We do not cut corners on hygiene — it is a non-negotiable part of how we care for children.
-
Classroom surfaces and toys
All tables, chairs, and toys are cleaned and disinfected at the beginning and end of every day.
-
Bathrooms
Bathrooms are cleaned at the beginning and end of every day.
-
Kitchen and food preparation
All food preparation surfaces are cleaned before and after each use.
-
Linen and soft furnishings
Nap-time bedding and soft items used by individual children are laundered regularly.
Illness Exclusion Policy
We ask parents to keep children at home when they are unwell. This protects your child and every other child in the group. We understand this can be inconvenient, but it is an important part of how we maintain a healthy school.
When to keep your child at home
If your child has a temperature of 38°C or above, they should stay at home until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
Children should remain at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea.
Any unexplained rash should be assessed by a doctor before the child returns to school.
Our Response Process
-
Immediate care
The child is assessed by a trained staff member and separated from the group to prevent spread while remaining comfortable and supervised.
-
Parents are contacted immediately
We do not wait. If a child develops a fever, vomits, or shows signs of significant illness, parents are called right away.
-
Medication policy
We do not administer medication to children without written parental consent. Any medication kept on-site must be clearly labelled and stored securely.
